Vocabulary IV: Definitions ๐ŸFall๐Ÿ

1. Adroit: quick or skillful or adept in action or thought

2. Amicable: characterized by friendship and good will

3. Averse: strongly opposed

4. Belligerent: characteristics of an enemy or one who is eager to fight

5. Benevolent: (a) showing or motivated by sympathy and understanding (b) intending or showing kindness (c) generous in providing aid to others or in assistance to the poor

6. Cursory: hasty and without attention to detail; not thorough

7. Duplicity: acting in bad faith; deception by pretending to entertain one set of intentions while acting under the influence of another

8. Extol: praise, glorify, or honor

9. Feasible: capable of being done with means at hand and circumstances as they are

10. Grimace: contort the face to indicate a certain mental or emotional state

11. Holocaust: an act of mass destruction and loss of life (especially in war by fire)

12. Impervious: not admitting of passage or capable of being affected
